Classic Inca Jungle Trail to Machu Picchu 4D/3N

DAY 01: CUSCO – ABRA MÁLAGA – HUAMANMARKA – SANTA MARÍA

We will begin the New Inca Jungle Trail at 6:30 am, pick up from your hotel. then will continue driving and crossing the towns of Chinchero, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo; places that belong to Sacred Valley after 3 hours we will arrive to Abra Málaga (4316 m.s.n.m. or 14160 feet), where we will can appreciate to the majestic snow capped mountain of Huacay Willca (Veronica). From here, we will begin our descending on bicycle, crossing different ecological zones like: Puna and Cloud Forest (both have a huge range of flora and fauna). We will finish our journey on bicycle in Huaman Marq’a village, take the van for about 25 minutes to Santa Maria town (approximately 1200 m.s.n.m. or 3937 feet). Overnight, dinner and Breakfast of the next day. River rafting is optional activity that you can do after Lunch.

DAY 02: SANTA MARÍA – QELLOMAYO – THERMAL BATHS – SANTA TERESA

After a delicious breakfast, we will begin the Trek until Santa Rosa village (about 1 hour), here we will take the short cut of Inca Trail then we will touring the ancestral Inca Trail of Qhapaq Ñan. From this place, we will see birds like: parrots, hummingbirds, eagles and the plantations of Coca (Sacred Leaf of the Incas), coffee, yucca, fruit trees (orange, mango, banana). We will have a little break in the community of Pispitayuc, where we able to relax in hammocks and have the fun with monkey and capiso. We will restarting the trek and appreciate beautiful and impressive landscapes of mountain range of Vilcabamba, lunch in Quellomayo village and after a break will begin the last part of the trek, crossing to the hot springs of Cocalmayo (optional), then take the Van to San Teresa town. Overnight, dinner and breakfast of the next day. Zip Line is optional activity that you can do after hike.

DAY 03: SANTA TERESA – LUCMABAMBA – LLACTAPATA – HIDROELÉCTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES

This third day of our new Inca Jungle trail we will take the van for about 40 minutes with destination to Lucmabamba place where begin the route of Inca Trail (Qhapaq Ñan), this Inca trail was recently discovered in 2003: by the way, this route counts with flora, fauna and places almost virgins that bring us to the archaeological remains of Llactapata, since this place we will have a impressive and unknow view of Machu Picchu Citadel. After our lunch, we will begin our descend to Hidroeléctrica train station, where we will take the train to Aguas Calientes town 30 minutes. Overnight, dinner and breakfast of the next day.

DAY 04: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO

At 05:00am. and after the breakfast, we will begin our day taking the bus from Aguas calientes to Machu Picchu citadel around by half hour. In the checkpoint of Machu Picchu, you will register with your Machu Picchu ticket and enter to Machu Picchu, in there will start the guiding tour for about two hours. After the visit guided, you will have free time to walk in Machu Picchu by your own account and climb to Huayna Picchu (optional). Also, you will have another places like: Inti Punku and Inca Bridge. At the end of our visit in Machu Picchu, we will descend for take the train to Ollantaytambo; where it waits you a van that will transport you to Cusco, end of our service.
