This fabuolous half day tour takes you around all the most important sites of Cusco. Including visits to Cusco’s Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha) and the various Inca sites found outside of the city you get to see an incredible mixture of Inca and Spanish-style and in the case of Qoricancha, the two combined. Cusco is truly a fascinating place to visit; providing a blend of the two cultures (Inca and Spanish) the city has a look and feel about it that is completely different to the rest of Peru. This tour is a must-do when visiting Cusco and is usually one of the first ports of call for all visiting tourists.
We will begin this Cusco City Tour from our meeting point at the agreed time, in the Qorikancha Temple (entry ticket not included). Here, the guide will give us information about the tongue and groove technique, used for its construction, and we will have some free time to take pictures.
Then, we will visit the archaeological sites of Tambomachay, Puka Pukara and Sacsayhuamán. In this last place, we will stay for 30 minutes to hear information from the guide about the construction and to take some pictures of the sunset in the ruins.
Finally, we will visit Qenqo, before going back to Cusco and ending the tour, after 5 hours, in a point close to the Main Square.
